The Gem Hair Team

Meg established Gem Hair in 2013 and has since created a salon environment where hairdressers love to work and clients love to visit. Meg has had a passion for hair as long as she can remember and couldn't wait to finish school and begin her career as a hairdresser. Now with almost 20 years experience in the industry, she is still as enthusiastic and passionate as ever and loves coming to work!  

Catriona moved to Australia from Ireland with her family and has settled in Brisbane's western suburbs. She has been in the hairdressing industry for over 35 years and spent 10 of those years working in New York with Vidal Sassoon prodigy. While she really enjoys colour work, her great love in hairdressing is cutting, knowing hair and what it wants to do.

 Jo has over 25 years industry experience and has been passionate about hair from a very young age. She is originally from New Zealand but has called Brisbane home for over 20 years. Jo has enviable skills in all aspects of hairdressing but especially loves colouring and cutting. Her friendly down to earth personality mixed with her amazing hairdressing skills make all her clients feel good and look even better!

Zoe has a real passion for hair and the hairdressing industry. Her super sweet and gentle nature along with her exemplary hairdressing skills always ensures her clients leave the salon not just feeling amazing but with fabulous hair as well. While Zoe exceeds in all aspects of hairdressing, balayage colour work and styling are where she really shines! 

As our salon assistant, Holly is an integral part of the team who helps keen the salon running smoothly. Holly has been part of the Gem family for three years, you'll find her here on our late nights and Saturdays. She has mastered her hair washing skills, makes a great cuppa and loves a chat, plus her sweet nature makes for a lovely welcome for all our clients.
